Computers For Children is a non-profit program founded by Regina Tillery, owner of ReCa Technology LLC that provides computers for school aged children from low income families who could not otherwise afford a computer.

Our mission is to provide children an opportunity to have access to a computer to continue their studies at home. Most students have access to a computer at school, so shouldn’t they have access to a computer at home to enrich their lives through the use of technology.

Businesses and government agencies generally follow a three year computer refresh policy. We want to reach out to those businesses and government agencies and ask them to donate their unused computer equipment to our organization. We will also connect with the software companies in hopes of obtaining donated software needed to make the computer operational and safe. With the help of volunteers, we will restore the computers to as good as new.

We will partner with the local schools to distribute the computers free of charge to children that cannot afford to purchase a computer. The goal is to provide the computers to economically disadvantage children with an academic drive and desire to succeed. Once the child has been selected to receive a computer, we will connect the family with a provider in the area that is offering internet service at a reduced cost to low income households.

We need computers, laptops, tablets, software and technicians willing to volunteer their time to assist us with computer installations and deliveries.
